DESCRIPTION: The Thinkingbox boardroom table combines three of the best furniture mediums: wood, steel and glass. The locally reclaimed walnut slabs themselves were not structurally sound or flat enough to serve the function of a table top. The design challenge proved to be significant and the use of metal an exciting necessity. Reinforcing the wood slabs with a completely independent structural steel form and topping it with custom shaped tempered glass allowed these beautiful wood features to lay protected and salvaged. Add turnbuckle for style, and install.
