PROJECT: Community Table

COST: $3690 for 2 pieces

DESCRIPTION: Patagonia Vancouver commissioned me for community table for their 4th Avenue, Kitsilano store front. After discussing some of the needs for the space, I suggested a two-piece community table that could seat upwards of 10 in the store front, but that could be separated and moved easily through doorways to other areas for merchandising, hosting, etc. To match the aesthetic, Patagonia asked me to use reclaimed materials and keep the rustic look in the wood. Locally reclaimed Douglas Fir was used for the table tops and steel tubing for the framework. As a final industrial accent to go with the rest of the store's work, I added large raw steel bolts and nuts as leveling feet to accomodate the polished concrete flooring.
